Book an AppointmentKallangur Dental Surgery is a family dentist at 1423 Anzac Avenue, with parking at the back of the building. Families come to us from Kallangur, North Lakes, Mango Hill, Murrumba Downs, Petrie, Dakabin and Narangba for the everyday dentistry that keeps teeth working: check-ups, cleans, fillings, children's visits, sealants, mouthguards and urgent care.
The reason regular general dentistry matters is simple. A small cavity found at a check-up is a quick filling. The same cavity left for two years can mean a root canal or an extraction. Gums that bleed a little are easy to settle with a clean and better brushing at home, and much harder to treat once the bone around the teeth has started to shrink. Keeping the same dentist over the years also means someone has your history, your X-rays and your worries on file.
When a tooth needs more than a general visit, you stay with the same team. Major dental such as crowns, bridges and root canals, dental implants and cosmetic dentistry are all provided here. Interest-free payment plans are available, and you can read how we work with health funds before you book.
Good to know
A general dentist is your first port of call for anything to do with your teeth and gums. That covers examinations, cleaning, fillings, root canal treatment, extractions, mouthguards, children's care and urgent problems. If you ever need something outside that scope, your general dentist coordinates it so you are not left to work it out alone.
Yes. We see babies having their first look, school-age kids, teenagers with sports mouthguards, parents and older patients with dentures or implants. Many families book their check-ups one after another so everyone is done in a single trip to Anzac Avenue.
Every six months suits most children and adults. Children should first visit around their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth appearing. If you have gum disease, a lot of previous dental work or a history of decay, your dentist may recommend shorter gaps and will explain why.
Check-ups, cleans, X-rays and fillings usually fall under general dental on private extras cover. We are a preferred provider for Medibank, HCF, Bupa and Westfund, and every other fund is claimed on the spot through HICAPS. Your rebate depends on your policy, so it is worth checking your annual limits with your fund.
For children who qualify for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, yes. The scheme covers a capped amount of basic dental care over two calendar years. Bring your child's Medicare card and our front desk will confirm eligibility.
Yes. We accept emergency dental vouchers issued by QLD Health, as well as DVA patients. Let us know when you book so the paperwork is ready when you arrive.
